Some Stellar Words
I'm always pleased to see one of Susie Dent's tweets - she posts a lot of lexicographical and etymological* stuff (most Brits will know her from her place in Dictionary Corner on TV's Countdown - but I was especially pleased to see this one! Words we use on a daily basis inspired by the stars!
Two Latin words for a star or constellation: 'aster' and 'sidus'. They glimmer across English:
